Illustration einer Ratte von hinten
Rat-fact

You can tell from a rat’s ears when it is happy. They turn more reddish.

„But you would never say that in German!“

In translated books, I often stumble across strange-sounding wording which usually turns out to be an awkward literal translation. If a translator does not know an expression, he or she will naturally translate phrases word-for-word.

This is where my strength comes in: As a native speaker of both German and English, I am familiar with all the common idioms, puns, colloquialisms and slang expressions used in both languages. This enables me to translate accurately while keeping in the tone of the original text.

Rest assured that I will translate your manuscript in a professional manner with that extra bit of feel for the language.
